New Happenings...

2012 has started out with a bang for me so far. One of my jobs dropped me to a measly six hours a week; however, I have some promising interviews lined up so hopefully one of them pans out. I also have (LMAO) joined a dating site, which I'm sure will provide me with many laughs.

I have also made a couple of New Years' resolutions to myself; the first one is to work out at least once a day. While that one has been broken, I have been working out more in order to better myself physically. The other one was to cut soda and energy drinks out of my daily life ENTIRELY, and I am happy to say that so far I have succeeded - drank the rest of my caffinated stash on New Year's Eve and quit cold turkey afterwords. So that's what's going on with me. Hopefully this year will be everything 2011 wasn't for me - better.

Donorschoose.org - A damned good donation site.

Recently, due to the Colbert / Fallon back and forth raising money for donors choose, a donation site that Colbert happens to be a member of the Board of Directors, I checked it out last night and...found myself suddenly addicted to helping finish projects for these classrooms. I don't know what it is, but it feels addicting to me, and I like it. If any of you are in a giving mood, please consider this site. You can check out if there are any sites in your area that need donating, and there are a variety of other ways to donate.

Goddamn I need to blog more.

I do, really. Life, such as it is, has been hectic recently and as such I've been putting things off, such as blogging. My bad!
Anyways...so I'm getting a new computer. It's an HP. Was considering Dell but...honestly. Dell didn't even have the i7 chipset I wanted in the computer I was looking at, and their financing is bullshit. Could I have just said "fuck it, Ima build it myself?" Probably, and it would have been ridiculously fun to do so (While I have done some minor customizations to my computers in the past, I have yet to build one) but it also, I suspect, would have been wicked time consuming, and as I have two jobs and am going to school, this isn't even remotely a possibility.
The jobs are good, so far. Working in the mental health field is pretty rewarding, and since I like helping others, it's a given that I would enjoy my job. Are there difficult days at times? Naturally, but it's a good job and one that makes me happy. My other job (retail)...meh. Mindnumbingly boring, but it serves its' purpose.

It's Official - Verizon's Getting the iPhone

Specifically, the iPhone 4, which will retail between 199-299 depending on GB (16 and 32 respectively) for customers with returning contracts, or 599-699 if you buy it without finishing your current contract. Upside: Verizon customers FINALLY get their hands on an iPhone; downside: It won't be utilizing their LTE network, apparently because utilizing the fastest network would have resulted in design changes.

WOW. This movie looks CRAZY. Take a look; it stars Sir Anthony Hopkins and is about exorcism. Got to see this one!

New Years Resolutions

We all have them, even if you can't admit it to yourself. Here are some of mine.

1) To get in better shape. Starting later on this morning, gotta hit the treadmill or (if it's going to get above 45 degrees *fingers crossed!*) maybe go for a jog outside.

2) To be in NYC for New Year's 2012. Already got a list going of people who want to go, lol.

3) To get my MA and head back to MA. Yup.

4) To be a better person in general, and to live my life to the highest standards I have; honor, justice and truthiness for all.

5) To go to a LIVE taping of the Colbert Report or The Daily Show *sigh... :) *
